Day 36

Over half way done with my 2 month stay in MN. I am so happy with it so far and so glad I did come because it got me away from home. I do miss home don't get me wrong but I d wish that I could stay here too! Tomorrow I am driving out to Bone Lake, Wisconsin to meet uo with Molly, and my aunt and uncle. I am driving and Trevor (my 21 year old cousin) is coming with me. Sean is at Boy Scout camp this weekend so he won't be with us at Bone. Well time or bed so that I can get a good night sleep so that I can drive there without falling asleep!

It has been crazy- Day 19

I have been in MN for about 19 days now and it is great! I have already gone to Lake Minnetonka like 6 times. I have eaten on the island that my aunt and uncle are members of a couple of times. I have brought Sean to hockey clinic every Monday & Wednesday. Molly started Basketball clinic last week and that is Tuesday-Thursday mornings.....we have to be up by 7:30 and out the door by 7:45 so that she can be there by 8:00. We also celebrated my birthday and my aunt's birthday. It has been great here in MN so far. Today they are wo king on the street in front of my aunt and uncle's neighborhood and there is no water here at the house for the next 8 hours! More updates later!

What a day!

I woke up this morning and went to mass (Catholic church service) and it was really good it lasted about 45 minutes and it was a nice church. It was just me and Molly who went then we went back to the house and ate lunch. At about two the rest of the family came home from LaCrosse games. Then we went boating and met up with another family who is in town from Texas visiting for the dad's job and his family who actually live near my grandma. Then the two girls came and spent the night and I bring them to their grandparents house because their mom heads back to Texas in the morning and their dad heads to the office for work. Molly and I and the two girls watched a movie (I can't remember the name of it) and it was a good movie.

Day 2 in MN

So today was my second full day in Minnesota! It was grat! My cousin Molly and I went to the mall near the house and had her hair cut then we went shopping and then to lunch at Chipotle. Then we went to see Molly's brother, Sean, in his last game of the day for LaCrosse (he had 3 games today!). After the game we went to my aunt's friend's daughter's 6th birthday party tonight. It was an all around busy day for us here in MN.

At the airport

So today is the day that I head to my second home! I can't wait to be there. I am typing this while waiting to board the plane. My flight is scheduled to take off at 3:01 and I land at 4:45. This is the first time I have traveled without my parents or not in a group. It is nerve racking!

Headed to my second home

My first post since November, and a lot has happened since then but I can't wait to write about this next step in my life. So tonight is my last night in my own bed for TWO MONTHS! I am headed to my second home to live with my aunt and uncle in Minesota. I am going to be a nanny for their two younger kids (they have 4 but the older two are away at school and in North Dakota). I can't wait not only am I helping out by driving the kids around I get to cook, clean, and organize their house. I also get to spend a lot of time with my family while I am there and I can't wait since I only see everyone once a year for about a week and sometimes I don't see a lot of my cousins because they are doing camps and living in other places. I hope to continue blogging while I am there it may not be every night but hopefully it will be close to every night. It all depends on Internet access. If I am camping I won't be able to or if I am at the cabin I won't be able to either.

Mission Trip Day 8- last day

Well it was another long day of travel for us. We woke up early and then all had breakfast and then took a group photo on the beach this morning. Gus and his other driver came and picked us up in Tela at 9:00 and we drove 2 hours to San Pedro Sula to the airport there. Checked in & payed our exit fees and then went up to the gate and hopped on the plane. It was suppose to be a 2 hour 48 minute plane ride but we made it in 2 hours 30 minutes which was awesome! We got through boarder control & customs and one of our group members got randomly selected to be thouroly checked which didn't take up to much time. Then we hopped on the bus for the 45 minute bus ride to the church. I got home ate some dinner (it was great to have food that I didn't have to worry about eating!) and then had my dad's older half brother and his youngest daughter (he has 3 girls) and my grandpa (dad and his half brother's dad) come over for a visit because my half uncle and his daughter were passing through and wanted to see me and since they couldn't see me on Sunday due to work I had to see them the day I got home. It was a nice and very short visit since I have to go to bed to get up to go to work tomorrow morning. I can't wait to get all of my photos on my laptop and get them on Facebook so that they can be shared with everyone. Now I have to go to bed so that I can get up in the morning for work even though I am an hour behind and will be for a few more days....ugh! I wanted a day to rest from the time change but I also need the money! Why!?!
